ANOTHER TOP TEN RESULT FOR DOMINIK AND VIPER IN ALMS
SRT Motorsports' Team Viper didn't totally compete the mission in its second American Le Mans Series start but there were plenty of positives from the weekend at Road America. At the top of the list was a second consecutive top-10 finish by the No. 91 Forza Motorsports Viper GTS-R team of Kuno Wittmer and Dominik Farnbacher.

FACTORY VIPER TAKES TO THE TRACK AT MID OHIO
After what seemed like an eternity, the SRT Motorsports program returned to American Le Mans Series competition on a balmy Saturday at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course as the new Riley Technologies-prepared two-car team of Viper GTS-Rs each completed a full race distance, showing the performance hallmarks that led the Vipers to ALMS titles a decade ago.

DOMINIK TO START ON POLE FOR 80TH RUNNING OF LE MANS
Things are looking good for Dominik Farnbacher at this years 24 Hours of Le Mans after the Luxury Racing Ferrari 458 GTE-Pro set pole for the big event.
Fred Makoweicki set the time and will, alongside Jaime Melo, partner Dom. The #59 car was also fastest at the official test day, held two weekends ago.

VIPER RETURNS TO ALMS WITH NEW SRT GTS-R AND DOMINIK
Dominik was in New York last week for the International Auto Show, held at the Jacob Javitts Centre, in Manhattan. It would be a very rewarding experience indeed, with Chrysler annnouncing that he, Marc Goossens, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Kuno Wittmer would be the core factory drivers for the two car SRT Motorsports team, that will run in ALMS.

SILVERSTONE RESULT CEMENTS GTE TITLE POSITION
With the summer vacation behind Dominik Farnbacher and Allan Simonsen headed to Silverstone to maximise their points advantage but a combination of events, including the safety car, pitlane exit indicator fault and lack of other teams attrition forced the factory Hankook team off the podium. None the less, the team continued to hold its second place position in the 2011 LMS GTE championship, with only Estoril remaining in a fortnight.

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT AT 12 HOURS OF SEBRING
After a competitive start running 5th, Porsche driver Patring Long tried an overly ambitous move on Jan Magnussen's Corvette, which spun wildly back into the path of the ESM Patron Ferrari 458 Italia with Jan van Overbeek, pitching it into the air and into immediate retirement. A sad end to a very positive start. It also cast van Overbeek with the unfortunate title of Worlds' First 458 Wrecker, although the accident was in no way his fault. Dominik did not even get to drive a single race lap.

MECHANICAL ISSUES RUIN A FINE DAYTONA RUN
The year could not have started better for Dominik Farnbacher after being drafted into the top Porsche squad, TRG (The Racers Group), for the 2011 Daytona 24 Hour.
TRG Team boss Kevin Buckler was keen to sign Dominik for the season opener and paied him with Porsche factory driver Lucas Luhr, Ben Keating and Tim George Jnr.
