GREAT RESULT FOR DOM AND TEAM SRT VIPER AT PETIT LE MANS

The SRT® Motorsports team found out why the Petit Le Mans is one of the most feared endurance events in North America road racing, but the new team of SRT Viper GTS-Rs had more than its share of success on its way to finishing 8th and 13th in the American Le Mans Series GT class.

ANOTHER TOP TEN RESULT FOR DOMINIK AND VIPER IN ALMS

SRT Motorsports' Team Viper didn't totally compete the mission in its second American Le Mans Series start but there were plenty of positives from the weekend at Road America. At the top of the list was a second consecutive top-10 finish by the No. 91 Forza Motorsports Viper GTS-R team of Kuno Wittmer and Dominik Farnbacher.

FACTORY VIPER TAKES TO THE TRACK AT MID OHIO

After what seemed like an eternity, the SRT Motorsports program returned to American Le Mans Series competition on a balmy Saturday at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course as the new Riley Technologies-prepared two-car team of Viper GTS-Rs each completed a full race distance, showing the performance hallmarks that led the Vipers to ALMS titles a decade ago.

DOMINIK TO START ON POLE FOR 80TH RUNNING OF LE MANS

Things are looking good for Dominik Farnbacher at this years 24 Hours of Le Mans after the Luxury Racing Ferrari 458 GTE-Pro set pole for the big event.

Fred Makoweicki set the time and will, alongside Jaime Melo, partner Dom. The #59 car was also fastest at the official test day, held two weekends ago.

VIPER RETURNS TO ALMS WITH NEW SRT GTS-R AND DOMINIK

Dominik was in New York last week for the International Auto Show, held at the Jacob Javitts Centre, in Manhattan. It would be a very rewarding experience indeed, with Chrysler annnouncing that he, Marc Goossens, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Kuno Wittmer would be the core factory drivers for the two car SRT Motorsports team, that will run in ALMS.

After Peugeot pulled its huge factory effort out of the brand new FIA World Endurance Championship, last month, things were looking a bit sketchy for a few of the new teams. But not so! Toyota has upped the ante with two new racers that will take the fight to Audi, from Spa onwards. Whilst Dominik was scheduled to do ADAC GT Masters, an new gig came forward.

It was Dominik's first trip to Australia, let alone Bathurst. But who would have known that, after he got into 2.09 scond laps on his fourth ever lap at the great circuit. That's why he took pole at last years 24 Hours of Nürburgring! Despite the brilliant start, a rather unfortunate set of event caused a DNF. The press incorrectly reported the demise of team. DOMINIK ALMOST GETS THE SPECIAL ROLEX WATCH

Weeks before the running of the 2012 Daytona 24 Hour race, every team descends on the Florida circuit for the compulsory practice session which has become known as the "Roar before the 24″. If you hadn't been doing Dakar or the Dubai 24 Hour then Daytona is the first big race of the year.

DOMINIK TAKES PODIUM WITH ON FERRARI 458 ITALIA DEBUT

Having topped the timesheets at the official Le Mans Series test day at the Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track a few weeks ago, both Allan Simonsen and his Team Hankook Farnbacher team mate, Dominik Farnbacher, were looking forward to the opening Le Mans Series round, which would be held at the very same track. There was though, still, quite a large problem...

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT AT 12 HOURS OF SEBRING

After a competitive start running 5th, Porsche driver Patring Long tried an overly ambitous move on Jan Magnussen's Corvette, which spun wildly back into the path of the ESM Patron Ferrari 458 Italia with Jan van Overbeek, pitching it into the air and into immediate retirement. A sad end to a very positive start. It also cast van Overbeek with the unfortunate title of Worlds' First 458 Wrecker, although the accident was in no way his fault. Dominik did not even get to drive a single race lap.

MECHANICAL ISSUES RUIN A FINE DAYTONA RUN

The year could not have started better for Dominik Farnbacher after being drafted into the top Porsche squad, TRG (The Racers Group), for the 2011 Daytona 24 Hour.

TRG Team boss Kevin Buckler was keen to sign Dominik for the season opener and paied him with Porsche factory driver Lucas Luhr, Ben Keating and Tim George Jnr.

It's always an exciting challenge for a team to race at an unknown venue and such was the case with the fourth and penultimate round of the 2010 Le Mans Series, with Team Farnbacher Hankook finding themselves in Hungary. The venue was the rather difficult Hungaroring that would be attached, like Algarve, in hot twilight conditions.

PORTIMAO STEAM BATH MAKES LIFE HARD FOR FARNBACHER

After the brilliant results at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Nürburgring, Dominik Farnbacher and Team Farnbacher Hankook, headed to the 6km long Slovakiaring circuit in the Republic of Slovenská. Rising star tyre manufacturers, Hankook, had booked the circuit for Dominik and team mate Allan Simonsen to evaluate wide range of new tyre construction and compounds on their Ferrari 430.

DOMINIK RACKS UP SECOND 24 HOUR PODIUM WITHIN A MONTH!

A few weeks ago, Dominik Farnbacher could hardly believe that he, Allan Simonsen and Leh Keen had managed to topple some of the biggest players at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Porsche was pushed off the podium for the first time in four years. The Hankook Ferrari was wedged between the might of the BMW and Audi efforts. People were taking notice.

After the relatively disappointing result at the Spa Le Mans Series round, last weekend, Dominik Farnbacher and the Hankook Team turned their energies and focus to the greatest 'road race' in the world, the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Joining Dominik for the race would be his regular Danish co-driver, Allan Simonsen, along with Leh Keen, the reigning Grand-Am GT champion and Marco Seefried.
